Former combat
decorated U.S. Marine with a counter terrorism specialization and a
honors student at the University of Arizona, he participated in
research involving marital interaction, depression, juvenile sex
offenders. He also examined interviewing techniques of law
enforcement and mental health professionals used in assessing
victims of sexual abuse.
Ben graduated with a
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in criminal justice, and
went on to receive a Master's Degree in Social Work from Arizona
State University with a child welfare specialization. He is a
graduate of Western Oregon State University's polygraph
program.
He has worked in a
variety of settings performing assessments, counseling and
investigations with populations including: sex offenders (juvenile
and adult), victims of physical and sexual abuse, teenagers with
substance abuse issues and Veterans with co-morbid disorders.
He has also
conducted trainings at the local and national level on the topic of
polygraph and its applications to testing sexual offenders.
